Changing the Pointer Shape of the Mouse

The Baby Lock Destiny II allows you to use a mouse with the machine. Now, I initially tried this with my wireless mouse, and while the machine recognized SOMETHING was plugged in to the port, it was unable to actually make the connection. My tech-y boyfriend identified that the wireless mouse relies on blue tooth technology…which apparently, the BLDYII does NOT have. So when I tried the WIRED mouse, it worked immediately.

There may be several reasons you would choose to use the mouse over the touch screen function. Maybe you don’t want to put your fingerprints all over the display. Maybe you’re worried you might push too hard with the stylus that comes with the machine. Maybe you have arthritis and the mouse is EASIER than the stylus. For whatever reason you choose to use a mouse over the touchscreen, the BLDYII allows you to choose the mouse icon that displays.

First up, you plug in the mouse (wired, not wireless) to the port specifically designated as the mouse port. As soon as you plug in the mouse, an arrow icon will appear on the screen.

Now, to change the shape of that arrow icon, you press the settings screen button.

Once you have that pressed, you can press the center button at the top of the screen or the left/right buttons at the bottom until you get to setting screen 4.

In the center/top part of the picture above, you see the third row in says “Mouse Pointer” with left/right arrows. Press those arrows to pick your pointer shape. There are three possible options on the BLDYII.
