The Machine still shows which direction to wind the bobbin. Push the doohicky (that’s a technical term) to the bobbin which well tell the machine you’re ready to start.

Moving the doohicky to the bobbin pin causes this screen to pop up. Press the start button and the bobbin winds. The doohicky also acts as an automatic stop. Once the thread hits the doohicky, the bobbin is wound, and The Machine will stop automatically. Lift the bobbin off the bobbin pin, cut the thread, and you have your bobbin, ready to sew with.
