Almost as bad as unfinished objects are Works In Progress (WIP). These are projects you have everything FOR, you just haven’t quite started yet. Or…you’ve started then got sidetracked halfway through, so it’s half WIP and half UFO.
A project I got sidetracked while 90% through is The Caftan Project. I got all the caftan’s done, then left off creating subsidiary garments needed for the finale photo shoot. Last weekends UFO push led me back to this project and the realization that I was two pair of pants and one under-tunic away from completion.
One of those pairs of pants were the red pair I completed:
Once I finished that, I realized I was now 1/3 of the way to an Official Photo Shoot. And while I fully intended to post a pattern making post today, life conspired (or rather inspired) me to start working on the second piece of this WIP.
This one is 80% complete and will be done tonight. One more pair of pants, and I’ll be ready for A Photo Shoot. So I have that to look forward to. Now to locate the fabric I KNOW I have buried somewhere in my attic, which will make the perfect pair of wants for WIP 3.
