Attaching the Dual Feed Foot
The Dual Feed Foot is used for tricky or sticky fabric that has to move through the feed dogs at the same pace on both top an bottom. Think leather or vinyl, or quilted fabrics. So first up, remove the presser foot holder. The Dual Feed Foot has a presser foot holder attached to it so the existing attachment is not needed. Also, the adapter is not needed due to the construction of the dual feed foot.
First up, hold the Dual Feed Foot in your right hand, lining up the presser foot holder over the foot bar. Screw the presser foot screw in until it’s snug and holding the presser foot holder in place. Tighten slightly with the included screwdriver. Then take that foot connector and plug it in to the jack at the back of the machine.
The plug in back is directional and only connects one way, so it’s not really possible to plug it in backwards, but if you’re having to force the connection, it’s wrong. Pause, take a breath, and flip the plug.
It should look like this when done being connected.
Note the connector cable goes down the back of the machine and connects to the dual feed foot which is now attached to the presser foot bar.
Just attach the toe and you’re ready to go!
