Automatic Thread Cutting

I was already familiar with this function from my back up Baby Lock machine, but it is, of course, a function of the Destiny 2, and so I had to demonstrate it. The button is on the main sewing page:

See the little scissors?

See the little scissors?

Notice how the automatic reinforcement stitches button is also lit? The automatic thread cutting function will not work without the automatic reinforcement stitches being set also.

So you start your stitching, let the automatic reinforcement stitches play out, run your line of stitches, then either use your multi-function foot controller to direct the machine to reverse stitch, or press the reverse stitch button on the machine.

That button there

Once the reverse stitches at the end of your seam are done, the machine will automatically cut the thread for you…provided you have told it to do so. Or you can NOT press the thread cut button the control screen, opting to instead press the little scissors as shown in the above picture. That will ALSO cut the threads for you.
