A Review: The Tunic Bible

About a year ago I found myself in need of a really quick garment to make and wear while in training for a position I transferred to at my day job. Having a spare weekend moment, I looked through my library and pulled out The Tunic Bible.

This was a very quick guide to making a simple tunic. However, this very quick guide included a multitude of options so you can completely customize your tunic to your preferences. Included are tunic lengths, neckline variations, collar or no collar, sleeve or no sleeve, sleeve length, fit, woven or knit fabric variations for everything.

Once I figured out the layout of the book and how construction was ordered, sewing together a tunic I liked was a snap.

A Tunic!

A Tunic!

If you ever need a guide in this most simple and basic of garments, get The Tunic Bible. It was easy to read, and it’s obvious that the authors are both seamstresses, used to giving clear direction in the way everything is laid out and order of construction is given.
